A detailed Summary of A Memory


Landscape is an important aspect of writing. Through this technique, the author can express symbolism using the character's surroundings. From the external landscape of a character, the internal landscape develops. There is a strong connection between the external and internal landscape of a character. In "A Memory" by Eudora Welty, the author uses external and internal landscape from her childhood memories to recreate a child hood fictional world.

Through the small frames of her fingers, Eudora Welty begins her story looking at the landscape surrounding her. She beings by noticing the sun and how beautiful it is. This observation occurs when Eudora is not
