My belief is that this principle is mainly ignored due to the "head boss" mentality. These given so-called leaders depend on dictatorship and the unwillingness to get their hands dirty. They've paid their dues, and now all they have to do is sit behind a desk and troubleshoot any problems that come their way. Throughout my career I've experienced management who'd go through crises due to their lack of action in practicing MBWA. It hampered the way they dealt


The next topic on innovation opened my eyes into fostering innovative individuals and work teams into pushing their projects through to its completion. Thus minimizing amount of time and avoiding the setting of long-winded committees meetings. Associates should be allowed to freely "own" ideas and to develop them in small-unified teams. Management should loosen the control so that success or failures, falls directly upon the work teams with the support of management. That in turn encourages a more united working atmosphere.

1.Choose a priority- and clearly, repeatedly, religiously, urgently, attentively, passionately focus all your decision and energy on that priority. Do something- right now.

The best source of ideas and information are found in the first-line associates. The first-line associates are your hands on group in which the trenches of experience are invaluable. In today's world, leaders are no longer a sole decision- maker or a dispassionate analyst. The new leader is more of a coach, nurturer of heroes, self-esteem builder and a facilitator.
