I think that in this case, Sharon's real personality is the shy, quiet girl that she acts like when she is sober. When Sharon drinks, she is not showing her real self to her friends. She uses alcohol to become something that she's not. Unfortunately, Sharon relies on alcohol to transform into something that she's not. It is also unfortunate that Sharon can't show her real self to her friends. What she shows them when she is partying is an alcohol-induced front. She is masking her true self by becoming intoxicated. She needs to learn to show her real self to her friends, what she shows them now is not who she is. Sharon needs to show her friends the real person inside of her. She should be comfortable with herself and not feel the need to be the tipsy party girl every time she goes out.
