A detailed Summary of From Acres of Diamonds

In Russell H. Conwell's essay, From Acres of Diamonds, he talks about money being the root of everyone's purpose to live. In order to support and argue Conwell's ideas the principles from the proverbs on money can be looked at. Money is something that is generally accepted as a medium of exchange, a measure of value, wealth reckoned in terms of money, or a means of payment (according to the Encyclopedia Britannica. Money makes the world go round and ever person needs money in order to survive.

In a short list of lesson's, summarized by Greg Herrick, Ph.D. on the proverbs and the idea of money, there are eleven principles which the Bible states in relation to money. Conwell feels that in order for a person to be honorable he/she has to earn his own money because there is "no class of people to be pitied." He claims that a person who inherits money will never know "the best things in life."

Both the Bible and Conwell state that money is at the reach of each and every person but never let that money become your love because "The love of money is the root of all evil." Money does make people wealthy when it comes to materialistic items, which brings about power. Never take that money and become greedy for ones own well-being.
