Aerobics and Weight Training
As most of you already know, fitness is usually measured by the untrained eye on the basis of how a person looks and their muscle definition. For anyone it's hard to get muscle definition until you lose weight, and that might be hard enough, more so for women then men. Women feel that they have a bigger need for physical fitness then men do. Some women and men think that dieting will get them looking great and feeling good with good muscle definition, but that is not the case. Research has shown that with a mixture of aerobic exercises, weight training, and nutrition any female can have the optimum level of physical fitness in order to look and feel great and have good definition. The basics for a good work out, most think, is straining yourself to your limit. In all actuality, this form of exercise is one of the worst. Your body is not used to the extreme conditions that come with binge training. Also, it is one of the leading causes of injuries. Because your muscles have to work up to training hard, it would be in your best interest to start easy and progress to harder things. So beginners should have a low profile goal that can be achieved easily enough as to not strain yourself, but hard eno
Aerobics and weight lifting can get you in shape, but in order to get physically fit, you need a good nutritional plan. You can do all the exercising in the world and not get physically fit if you don't eat right. If your trying a diet plan then try to stick to it, and even if your not try to eat healthy and have a balanced meal. If you are looking to get fit there are some foods that you might consider eating and others consider dropping. For instance milk gives you extra fat build ups and raw eggs destroys B-vitamins. Don't stop eating these things, but try to cut down as much as possible. Good foods for you are whole wheat bread and nuts. Both for protein and vitamins. Again, don't go out and binge on those foods, but be aware of that when you're at the store. You have to eat well to feel well. (Boyer 83-101) The aerobic exercises range from a multitude of different areas and videos. You have your basic motivational video, Richard Simmons, to your hard core video, Tae Bo with Billy Blanks. Each video has its own way of aerobics. Why don't women weight lift more often? There are some myths why women don't weight lift. Such as "lifting weight is for guys , I don't have the time etc." If any women can spare one hour a week then they have time for weight lifting. (Why 1) By going 2-3 days a week for about 30 minutes each session, you can tone and define your muscles, boost your energy, ward off osteoporosis
