The Bible offers us many concepts and views to try and comprehend. However, for many, these ideas appear very difficult and challenging to completely understand. Among one of these ideas is the doctrine that God exists as three persons who are united in one substance or being (Trinity). The last verse that I wish to reflect upon is a verse that many people find question as to the existence of such a thing as the Trinity. Many have heard the prayer, "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen" (Holy Bible 5). An argument can be brought upon us though. It is Jesus saying this in the Bible. Why is Jesus praying to the Father when he is the Father? People use this argument to say that Jesus is totally separate from God. What they do not understand is that it is the human part of Jesus praying to his Holy part, and at the same time it is Jesus showing others how to pray. Jesus is not talking to himself but praising God at the same time he praises himself. It is indeed very confusing, but the Bible, as I said before, offers us many interesting ideas and thoughts that seem very puzzling.

In doing this report, I found it very difficult to understand other views on the Holy Trinity. Maybe, it is my strong belief that does not allow me to be so open minded about other points of view on this particular subject. I do not want this to be an opinionated study; therefore, I tried my very best to acquaint every piece of evidence to a written source. In summarizing my study I could say, "Perhaps, no one section of this study, by itself, would convince the reader that God is or is not a Trinity. It is the cumulative weight of all the arguments together, which I believe urges the view" (Bible Studies). This statement is true in all aspects. There is not a definite answer to the question of a Holy Trinity, rather an abundant accumulation of scriptural testimony.
