And Then There Were None
A detailed Summary of And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None:
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, was about ten people chosen to go on an Island vacation. Their host (or hostess) is unknown. AKA U.N. Owen. One by one the guests die off in ordinance with the poem about the ten little Indians. After searching the Island from top to bottom and finding nothing, they come to the conclusion that it must be one of them, but who and why?
The killer seemed to be Dr. Armstrong. The first two murders were dead giveaways (no pun intended). After Anthony Marston was poisoned, it was Dr. Armstrong who identified the poison. Potassium cyanide. The only way he could he known that was if he put it there himself because it has no odor. The other of course would not have known that. The poison could also be very accusable to the doctor. In Mrs. Rogers case, (the 2nd murder) the doctor gave her what was said to sleeping pills, but they could easily have been something else. Who would really know?
General MacArthur was the next to be killed .

Six down, three to go. Going in order of the book, Dr. Armstrong disappears next, but no body is found. (red herring) Blore is next to go. A marble clock shaped like a bear was pushed onto him. Armstrong could easily have set that up so that when Blore was found, the other two would run up to the house, giving him the opportunity to get into place for his "fake death". Dr. Armstrong did not even have to be the one to kill the other two. He could tell that Vera was losing her sanity. If she thought Lombard was the killer (which she obviously would because they were the only two left and she knew that it was not her) then she would somehow kill Lombard to save herself. Which she did. He was shot and killed. The killer was planning on Vera hanging herself, and that she did. (The noose was set up when he was in the house killing Blore).
Dr. Armstrong was the only one on the island with a needle (and access to poison) to be able to murder Emily Brent. After Miss. Brent came Justice Wargrave. When Vera screams, everyone run
