Bali

Bali is located in an archipelago country of Indonesia. It is an island in the Southern part of Indonesia, in the Indian Ocean. There is no other island more beautiful than Bali. The island is nicknamed "Island of the Gods" for its natural beauty and friendly Balinese.

Bali is one big sculpture. Every status is manicured and polished with such delicate details, every niche and field is carved by men. The surface of the island is marked by deep ravines, fast flowing river, and a stretch of volcanic chain. On the plains of Bali, rice fields are exquisitely carved out of hills and valleys, and the water is just sparkling with green. Besides rice, crops such as tea, cacao, groundnuts and tropical fruits flourish in the island.

Balinese are skilled artists. They do extremely well in woodcarving. The women of Bali are noted for their traditional dancing and for their skills in weaving clothes from thread as well as embroidering silk and cotton.

The majority of Balinese believe in the teaching of Hinduism. Unlike Hinduism in India, in Bali Hinduism has developed on its own line of faith. The Balinese are scared witless of ghosts, goblins, and the like, which could disguise themselves as black cats, naked women, and the crows. Sp

There are many temples in Bali. All temple complexes require its visitor to be appropriately dressed. Although not all temples require a sash, at least they all require a loin clothes called the sarung to be worn by the male visitors. Menstruating women are often barred from entering the holy temples. It claims that the temples want to maintain the state of purity and consider menstruating women not to be in purity.

The splendid tower, offerings and coffin are then set ablaze. After the blaze subsides, the eldest son rakes the ashes to make sure all the flesh is burned. To free the soul, the ashes are carried out to sea and scattered.

The day of Nyepi is acknowledged throughout the island of Bali, whose residents are majority Hindu. The whole island of Bali will become very silent, there will be very limited light, there will be no noise at all, the cities will be close and seem dead, limited activities are carried out. People stay at home for the day. The purpose of this Nyepi day is to cast off evil by creating silence all over the island. The Balinese believed that when the evil Rahwana noticed the cities are dead because they are very quiet, he will then move along and not dwell on the island of Bali since he considers it not habitable.

The corpse is then carried in a noisy procession to the cremation
