Benjamin Franklin

I read a book called The Life of Ben Franklin. According to the book, Benjamin Franklin was one of the greatest American minds of all time. He was born on January 17, 1706, and raised in a very humble family. His dad was a tradesman, and his mom was a homemaker. Their house, and shop, was situated on Milk Street. This was only one of the two printers in Philadelphia. There was a boarding house next door to the shop. It was maintained by John Reed. Reed had a daughter named Deborah, who would soon become Benjamin's wife. Franklin later founded his own printing business. He wanted to get newspaper stocks, however, there were already two Journals in print, one being published by Franklin's rival, and former boss, Keimer. Franklin later founded his own

In 1776, the Congress sent Benjamin north to recruit French Canada as another ally. During his journey north, he became fatigued and weak. He returned to Philadelphia with nothing.

During the French and Indian War, Franklin had the idea of creating an intercolonial union. This would mean that a grand coun
