Book of Job
What is the basic moral/ theological problem addressed in the Book of Job? How is it presented? How is the problem solved (if it is) for Job himself? In the Book of Job we learn how bad things can happen to good people. And that when this happens we must continue to believe in God and yourself. Job is the main character in this story. Job is an extremely righteous human being who has been blessed with a huge family, many animals, and lots of land. Satan tells God that the only reason Job is God’s greatest servant is because Job has been so blessed. So God allows Satan to test Job. Satan does this by taking away all of Job’s possessions and his children. Satan also takes away Job’s health; a loathsome disease affects his body while sorrow oppresses his soul.
