1. When you think about all the benefits we have receivedin our jobs, we don't realize how lucky we are. We have to thank all of the labor leaders who spent most of their time and effort in order for us to have the luxury to work in a safe environment, work reasonable hours, and receive a fair paycheck. Two labor leaders I will talk about is George Meanly and Walter Rather. George mean as born in New York City around 1894 and died around 1979. Walter Rather was born on September 1, 1907 in Wheeling, West Virginia. Both were great labor leaders who achieved several goals for laborers. Rather worked to achieve goals for workers as well as achieving national goals to try and help the country. Meanly mostly worked to help the country. I will compare and contrast five of their major goals and explain Reuthers first major goal was to have a National system of healthcare. Reuther grew up from a poor family so they probably didn't have any kind of healthcare. He believed that everyone, no matter what their status, should be provided with some type of healthcare in which they can be taken care of in any type of emergency. His next goal was
