Calvin Coolidge was the 30th president of the United States during the 1920's. He served in the white house for six years. He had no real dramatic accomplishments during his time as president. But he did lower taxes and debt in the US and kept the economy strong, growing, and stable.
In 1920 when he was vice president and Warren G. Harding was president, Coolidge received word on Aug. 2, 1923 at 2:47 a.m. that president Harding had died. He left moments later to take up his duties as president.
