The religious event that I chose to attend was one of the Catholic Church. The Catholic's believe in monotheism. They also believe in saints. Saints are held to the same extent as to god but god is the one that controls everything. There are different saints in the Catholic Church and depending on your needs you pray to the God first and then you can ask a saint for a favor, but you always got to pray to god first. You can even light candles to different saints. In other religions that don't even have saints. Saints are prophets of god you can say.
When the religious ceremony starts the priest comes in through the back of the room and the ushers and guest readers follow behind him. The priest is holding the bible up in the air and the people just stand there in silence and wait for everybody to get to the front of the room. When the priest gets to the front of the room he say's pray and everybody does an "Our Father" and then mass can start. The priest is the hierarchy of the church he over rules over everybody. He's is a messenger from god you can say. The catholic people in the community go to the priest for everything. He can be a marriage councilor, give you advice and if somebody
sick in your family you can go to him and ask him to pray for that person so you get better.
priest for mass and other people talk each other and plan things out for a bar-b-que that night for dinner. I find the Catholic Church real interesting especially the singing parts and the peace offerings they do a lot of god things in church.
The next part is the collection. During collection they pick four people from the crowd again and they are given some baskets and they go around picking up money from each row. The money is placed in the basket. Then they wait 10 minutes and again they go and try to collect some more money. Finally all the money is placed in the basket and is carried to the front of the room and is placed in front of the priest. When the last collection is taken the mass part of the church is over. It's time for any announcements. Announcements are the things that are happening around the community that next week, and if anybody has anything else to say they have the right to say it. Then when no more announcements are left the people stand and the priest and the guest speaker, and the usher walk down the aisle and exit the church the same way they came in. When the
