Cell Phones, so Convenient.

A detailed Summary of Cell Phones, so Convenient.

If you own a cell phone today, you have most likely used it on several occasions while in your car driving. Whether you are calling your boss, your family, or whomever; a cell phone can save you lots of time and money. However, if you live in New York State, get prepared to change how you communicate or function your business. If you use a cell phone while driving, it is now illegal to do so in New York. The use of cell phones while driving should not be illegal in New York State because they are no more of a distraction than the radio or kids, can be used safely while driving, and can save lives.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration claims that the use of cell phones while driving is dangerous, and encourages states to follow New York State. The law banding the use of a cell phone while driving is not anything new. Many cities across the country have already taken the initiative. To not allow the use of cell phones while driving is just another law to infringe on our personal rights to do what we want to do. There is no statistical proven data that shows that the use of a cell phone while driving causes a threat to the lives of the driver and those around him. Please do what you can to help avoid the ban of cell phones while driving.

Contrary to the belief of the NHTSA, many people and businesses are claiming that cell phones are not a distraction that should be made illegal. If you have children, a good CD collection, or smoke, then you may be distracted just as much if not more than the use of a cell phone. Children and other passengers in a vehicle can cause very large distractions to the driver, and can be potentially dangerous. This is why it helps to have small children in the back seat, where hopefully they will not distract the driver. As you can see, there are several other distractions in the vehicle that can cause the driver to not concentrate on the road and result in an accident.
