Censorship
Without censorship, we are destroying our civilization by deteriorating the minds of our youth. Censorship has been a controversial issue for a very long time, and the idea of censorship is nothing new to the American people. The issue is so fragile because censorship infringes on people's First Amendment Rights. With the development of the World Wide Web, censorship has become increasingly necessary because one no longer has to go to the corner bookstore to pick up a Playboy or Penthouse. Adults, as well as children, can get pornographic trash straight off of their computers, and most parents I know do not want their children downloading pornographic material that is always available from the Internet. Is the Communications Decency Act all that we need to solve such a terrible problem? If one answers this with a yes, I seriously hope that he or she is joking. As we are all aware, all rules, although not intended, are made to be broken. The Communications Decency Act is no exception. There is no way that the government can control such a problem as pornography on the World Wide Web, hence the words "World Wide." The problem is way too immense. As adults, we need to take action and become involved. There are program
