One year after I graduated from Denham Springs High School I was invited to the Homecoming football game. I went, and as watched the football team I could not help but notice all the new cheerleaders. I was once a cheerleader at Denham Springs High. It was very important to me. A cheerleader was who I was. I was always at practicing cheering, and if I was not practicing I was thinking about cheering. After being a cheerleader for twelve years one begins to notice the different types of cheerleaders. There are three main types: lazy, serious, and peppy.
The lazy cheerleaders are the ones who are not stiff, and their voices are never heard due to the fact they just mouth the cheers. These girls never stunt because their ankles are too weak. Most have no facial expression, and do not care if the crowd is into the game. This cheerleader never practices outside of che
The peppy cheerleader is very active. Most of the time a squad has a peppy cheerleader as a captain. Everyone in the stands can tell this type of cheerleader is having fun because she always has a smile on her face, and always wants crowd support for her football team. She practices hard in practice, but still makes it fun for herself and others on the squad. This type of cheerleader is not worried about missing a move or two. She works hard and has fun all at the same time. These cheerleaders believe that having fun will help them perform better. For example, I was a peppy cheerleader, and in a pep rally I fell after doing a toe touch. I did not cry or practice it over and over I blew it off.
The serious cheerleader is stiff, and always sticks her moves on the while cheering and when up in the air in stunt. These types of cheerleader are loud, but will rarely start a cheer by calli
