After reading the paragraphs on stereotypes. I couldn't help but think back to my high school days. Sadly I stereotyped people just as much as the next person. It wasn't even intended to be something done to mean it was just the way to survive in high school. It was easier to put people into a nice little clump instead of having to get to know them individually.

When I read the paragraph about prejudice I also learned that maybe not intentionally, but occasionally I am apart of prejudices. I couldn't count the number of times a friend made a racist joke and in my head I always think that's not funny, but I never say anything. Or made comments like that's gay when someone does something bad. I never realized until a couple of years ago how wrong that really was. It took hearing my younger brother make a similar comment to realize how bad that sounded and it was probably my fault they learned to talk like that.
