On my first day in English class I came in right before the door shut. As I hurried to find a place to sit I noticed a free seat in front of the class. I took my seat and listened to the professor start class. The class started like any other class. The professor gave us a brief overview of the class. I knew since the class was short session that we would be getting an assignment soon. The professor had us do some brief assignments, brain storming and stuff like that. The next assignment was to interview a classmate I was kind of neverous at first. The person I was to interview sat right next to me, his name was Jeremy. As Jeremy and I talked I was surprised to learn that we had all kinds of things in common.

Jeremy comes from a traditional family. He lives with his Dad, Mom and two younger sisters Rebecca who is 16, and Sarah who is 13. Jeremy's dad's name is Jim Smith, is a computer programmer. Jeremy shares an interested in computers too. His family like a lot of family's in North Carolina are transplants. They are originally from a little town in New Jersey called Paquanack but they spent the first three years of Jeremy's life i

Jeremy tells me that he likes it here at state for the most part. He thinks that it has a good atmosphere and good people. I would have to agree with him on this. I think that this is a great place to go to school as well as get your degree from. Jeremy is studying electrical engineering at state, one of the things that State is known for. However he tells me that he'll probably change his major or add an arts application so that he can do something with music. Music is very important to Jeremy it is way for him to express himself. Jeremy is very talented and has an extremely good ear for music wheater it be classical or rock. He knows it all. We share a common interest in a band called the Dave Matthews Band. The mix of folk, pop, jazz, and a rock just appeals to the both of us. Music has been a big part of Jeremy's life since he was young he has learned to play several instruments including drums, bass guitar, and violin. Jeremy told me "music has definitely been a big part of my life, its very natural for me". Recently he played at the North Carolina State University graduation services.
