Cuba and Missiles
America, the ruthless super of this world has retained that status by means of using their vast economic wealth as well as their strategic manipulation among countries in need of their support. The Cuban Missile Crisis was an act of retaliation by both the Soviet Union and Cuba, to prevent America from having that particular "strong hold" on their countries. Though both Soviet Union and Cuba had been fueled by different reasons, Soviet Union was tired of being influenced by the "Westernization" America has promoted and wished to further Communism, and Cuba by the economic suppression and America's reluctance to better fund the economic development. In any case, it was understandable that both countries tried an attempt to better their positions in this world against America. The reasons why the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred was ultimately the reaction of Soviet Union's attempt to balance power between Communism and Democracy and the fact that America had missiles place in Turkey aiming at Moscow. As for Cuba, it was a way to be released from America's economic grasp and further benefit Cuba's development in both industry and economic development, as well to return a favor to the Soviet Union.
Fidel Castro and Cuba on the other hand, were just trying to benefit the well being of the people and his country. Fidel Castro, since his taking to Communism, has been viewed by the United States as a threat to the western world and to Democracy. Before Fidel Castro's time The Unites States and Cuba were in good relations with the previous Cuban President; Fulgencio Batista. Castro's 26th July Movement, was established to overthrow Fulgencio Batista, and to create the Cuban Revolution. Fidel Castro had many acts of reform that he was to establish quickly and forcefully. This Revolutionary government caused great concern among the American government, because they had 60 years of investment and trade. The Cuban government was now beginning to question the American industries in Cuba and issues such as these were what lead America to distrust the Castro government. Fidel Castro was attempting to better his country and his countrymen by means of increasing economic wealth and to raise the living standards; he approached these goals via threat towards America. He stated that he would reduce or completely cut off America from his countries sugar export, which was a serious thing since 75% of Cuba's sugar export went directly to American, this threat was considered to be quite a concern. He later also claimed that he would be putting restrictions on trade going in and out of Cuba. Right off the bat the American government viewed him as a threat and had already started planning to secretly overthrow or remove him from the Cuban government, so that he may be replaced by one in which they thought would be better. Though living standards in Cuba before 1959 were considered and described as appalling. American officials did not bring to consideration that Fidel was actually leading his country into a higher standard of living, than the President before. America cared nothing of the sort except they knew something had to be done about Fidel Castro because he was actually threatening the great and all "powerful America", and the threats posed an actual threat that would have its consequences on America. Then to America's dismay Cuba began to trade with other Communist countries like China and the Soviet Union. Cuban government was now starting to get some improvement, the Soviet Union agreed to supply Cuba with machinery for farming and industrial plants on credit that is, but this was much better than the credit Cuba received from America, oh wait a minute, what credit? America denied credit to Cuba for whatever reason; it was just another way to keep Cuba under American power and need. Much like how Turkey was in debt to America and probably held some credit in the placing of missiles in Turkey, Cuba must have been in the same vote with the Soviet Union. The secrecy could be due to that fact that Fidel might have already heard that the United States were planning to secretly overthrow him. Fidel's actions were justified b
