Descriptive Essay- The Croswalks Sorrow

A detailed Summary of Descriptive Essay- The Croswalks Sorrow

I feel as if I am never allowed to sleep. In the small hours of the morning, I might get an hour of peace and quiet before somebody walks in-between me or drags their tires across me. It is a never-ending job, and I am never in control of anything. The only thing that controls my life is the constant changing of the red, yellow, and green lights flashing in each direction. Even that guy, that bright, white colored stick figure tells me what to do. He's always changing his mind. "Walk," or "Don't Walk," he can never make a decision and stick to it. Sometimes I think he works in cahoots with the red, green and yellow flashing lights. It might just be a conspiracy against me.

As I said earlier, each day seems to run into the next, and the only was I can be sure that a new day has started is when that boy on the green and silver banana-seat bike rides across me, as if he were a semi-trailer truck. He rides right in the street, and he always ignores the red, green, and yellow lights. He carries an eggshell colored canvas sack on the front of his bike, and it's always full of rolled up paper, gray with black print, fastened with a rubber band. I don't think that I'm the only one that waits for this sign of a new day, beca

Cars, on the other hand, all wear the same kind of shoes. Just like all of the people and all of the different kinds of shoes, the cars watch the red, yellow, and green lights, and the white stick man. They zoom across me on some colors, and on the other colors, the shoes walk in-between me. Maybe the shoes and the cars are on the conspiracy with the colored lights and the white stick man. I wish they would tell me what is going on every once in a while. I do have my advantages, though. I get to be warmed by the orange sunrays when I'm cool, the giant rectangles block the rays when I am too hot, and I am the first to see the green and silver bike that tells you it is a new day. I also know that it's going to rain before anybody else does. Just when I think that I would like to retire to a street with a lower speed limit, a man comes by and covers my old, tired, gray-white lines with a fresh coat of whiteness. People and cars remember where I am, and it does not seem so bad. It is a thankless job, but if I were not a crosswalk at a busy intersection, who would be?

use the man that owns the coffee shop on the other side of the flashing lights waits outside for the boy to come by and hand him several rolled pieces of paper with black print on them. Maybe that man doesn't sleep well either.

I have seen a lot of different types of shoes, and a lot of different type of people that wear them. The kind that I see the most is the white, rubbery kind. I like those the best, because when they walk on you, it feels squishy on my surface. Most of the time when those kind of shoes walk in-between
