I was a little confused after this story since the people did not even care that it took off, they just basked in the heat. I was also confused because wouldn't it burn the town down?

This section of the book tells you about a Martian couple who likes to disagree. They are the K's. The woman was daydreaming when she saw an Earthman that came and talked to her. She then woke up and told her husband about it. He then got mad because he thought she made it up. She then wants to go see the Earth man but her husband thinks up a clever way not to.

I thought this chapter was interesting because we got to see and understand what Martians are about. They seemed a little like Earthling couples that like to bicker and disagree all the time.

In this part, it describes a night on Mars when everyone starts singing and humming an alien song.

This was a little weird. I was wondering how this song got into their minds.

This was about how Mars was becoming too much like Earth. Most towns were named after Earth towns, and how the politics became too much like Earth politics.

This was just about a town and how similar it was to an American town.

This was about a man who wanted to go to Mars bad and said he had a right to go since he was a taxpayer.
