Capital Punishment

People who murder another person(s) should be punished by death from the government. Capital punishment helps serve justice to the people of America by eliminating murderers, who destroy the lives of other people, because murder is wrong and the victim's lives should be defended. The government should enforce a law stating that all people who commit a murder or killing of an innocent civilian should not have a chance for life in prison or parole. Instead, he or she should automatically be sentenced to death. This law will remind slayers, hopefully, to think twice before they take the life of another person(s) because they will also be taking their own life. According to the bible, the sixth commandment says, "Thou shall not kill." The bible also says that a man who destroys or murders another man shall be punished by death. The death penalty has been used for centuries, but has not been very strict. In order for the system to work, capital punishment must be equal to all people of ages from sixteen years old and enforced strictly by the government. If every state in the United States were to use the death penalty for each and every murder then the crime rate in America would probably decrease drastically.

Killian, Johnny H., and George A. Costello. "U.S. Constitution: Eighth Amendment." Findlaw. 1994-1998. .

People including men, women, black, white, Mexicans, Japanese or Chinese who purposely take the life of another person should be punished for their crime. All executions should be equal depending on race and gender. A person who mutilates, stabs, shoots, strangles, or dismembers another person causing that person to die should suffer the pain that they put the other person through by capital punishment. There is also no categorical prohibition on execution of juveniles. A closely divided Court has invalidated one statutory scheme which permitted capital punishment to be imposed for crimes committed before age 16, but has upheld other statutes authorizing capital punishment for crimes committed by 16 and 17 year olds (Findlaw p. 15). Juveniles who plan a shooting and go through with the plan like the shootings at Columbine High School should be executed. Although the federal law states that juveniles under the age of eighteen are not allowed to go to jail, they should be punished as if they were older or wait until they reach a certain age to be executed. Adolescents can not use their age as an excuse for killing classmates at point-blank range. They may not be as mature as someone who is twenty-five, but they still know that killing in general is a crime and can lead to severe consequences. On the other hand, people who kill somebody "accidentally" should not be executed. If someone shoots his or her best friend because he or she is playing with a gun then he or she should be punished, but they should not be executed for the death. Accidents happen to everybod
