The Man in the Iron Mask
The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas takes place in seventeenth century France. The title is very significant of the story because the center character is Phillipe who is caged in a dungeon with an iron mask on his head because he is the twin of King Louis XIV. The title summarizes the plot because Phillipe is kept in the dungeon for most of the story and after a critical mask party scene where Phillipe was switched with Louis XIV, everything was changed.
