Mao's Actions and it's Consequences

Mao Tse-Tung was a revolutionary person in his era; his ideas and actions have changed the lives of billions of Chinese people. Mao's motifs were made to make the people of the People Republic of China live a life free from poverty and live in a more pleasant place. Mao used many methods to make this possible but some of them were cruel and inhumane, the consequences of his actions marked the Chinese for many generations and will continue. Mao was born December 26, 1893, into a peasant family in the village of Shaoshan, Hunan province. This harsh upbringing made him know the impact of living in poverty, he wanted the others in his country to be rid of this adversity. Although, his actions were for the sake of his entire nation the consequences of his action was devastating and had doomed to the entire nation of China.

Although China is the country with the most population, most of the people lived in poverty and had no education. The country had no strong support from it's citizens, they had to work hard to survive and had no time or money for an education. Mao was lucky to receive an education and he wanted all the children to have on too. He once said,


Mao was praised for his contributions in the resistance against Japan, it saved the entire nation and saved millions of people. But in return of all his actions it caused Mao to believe he was an absolute ruler and in which made him selfish, he lost his motif for the country to be poverty free. Mao was also criticized for his mistakes in the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution these two main factors plague the county until today, consequently the country is still in poverty. While many Chinese defame Mao for his brutality, he is also admired for his power and his role as one of the most influential historical figures in the 20th century. His remains are enshrined in a mausoleum in Tian'an Men Square.
