Queen's Treasure

It was a hot summer's morning on July 28, 1702, in the harbor at Barcelona, Spain. Captain Cordoba was instructing his crew members on obtaining the remaining needed provisions in preparation for setting sail the next morning. That night, when all were asleep, the Queen's guards brought the treasure chest on to the ship. Only Captain Cordoba and his 1st Mate knew they would carry Queen Sarina's treasure to the New World.

Queen Sarina had secretly instructed Captain Cordoba to bring the treasure to the New World. Queen Sarina had envisioned controlling the New World with the wealth of her treasure. She would purchase land, build large fortresses and use her power to control the New World.

The crew members on the clipper ship

Two days after leaving Barcelona they reached the Canary Islands. From the Canaries they sailed toward the West Indies. After 24 days of sailing with the trade winds the 1st Mate yelled, "Land Ho!!" Captain Cordoba pulled the ship into the Harbor of Antigua. They stopped overnight at Antigua and gathered fresh food and water the next morning!! From Antigua the Captain sailed northwest towards the Bahamas.

He was amazed at what he found! The pearls were as white as clouds drifting through the midnight sky. The rubies were as red as the kings velvet cape. The emeralds were as green as seaweed floating through sea foam from the swells on the Atlantic Ocean. The Sapphires were as blue as the sky on a hot summer day. The diamonds were as clear as thin air
