The American Revolution, the bith of of the United States of America. If it wasn't for the revolution we wouldn't have the united states. In my report I will tell why it was the birth of the U.S.A and the causes of why we wanted to break from England and determine which cause was most important.

The colonies had already got used to taking a share in their own goverment. So the colonies really didn't need Brittian in their goverment they caused to many problems. The colonies got used to settling their own problems like the one with the indians wich was the proclomation of 1763 which stated that it was prohibited to buy land behind the appalations because the indians was raiding the colonies that came to close to their tribes. The colonies elected an assembly to stand for each colony. The virgians set up the house of burgesses only twelve years after james town was settled. You could tell they were ready to govern themselves from the start because the pilgrims made the mayflower compact in 1620. They knew this was going to be a big thing because they thought of the americas as a new world and th


Britian was to far from the colonies to really know what was going on and plus it was to many problems going on britain to worry about the colonies but that wasn't the colonies faught. If wasn't for britian being so far away we wouldn't of found out how to solve our own problems. We made a couple mistakes governing like the Albany congress, it might of failed but if you don't make mistakes how will you learn. Edmond Burke wrote "seas roll, months pass between the order and execution" which ment that Englands rapid changing parties did not hold a consistent course that every thing was rapidly changing and was tearing the colonist apart because it took a certain amount of months to reach England so about time the messengers reached England the problem was solved or out of proportion.

As you can see the economic causes played a big part in why we wanted to break from England so I say the economic causes was most important. Britian caused to many controversies and killings and uprisings for us to trust in Britian so why would you stay with a goverment who tries to suck you dry.
