The Articles of Confederation 2

The Articles of Confederation, the first attempt to establish a government in the newly born country, was ratified on March 1, 1781.The articles were really concentrating on what rights a states should have, the funding of the government and the borders of the western territory. The problem with the articles is that a bad thing that the articles offer always contradicts a good thing. For example, the articles say that the government could establish an army. A government establish an army if it does not collect any money by taxes. The Articles of Confederation lacks many of the various aspects that make a government strong, so in result, they were a complete failure.

I have learned some of the important aspects of government and the negative things about the Articles of Confederation. I have realized how important it is for government to control foreign trade and that really surprised me. Finally, I have learned all of the parts of the Articles and how they would affect the new union's citizens.
