The American Revolution: Justified or Unjustified?

On September 3, 1783, the Treaty of Paris was signed, formally ending the American Revolution and declaring the recognition of the independence of the United States of America. Over the years, people have argued one question about this war, was it justified or unjustified. Many say yes, that it was justified because of the geographic locations of the two parties,and the colonies had already developed a certain independence from Great Britain, and that the colonists deserved their own order of government that impartially portrayed themselves. Others, however, disagree, arguing that the war was unjust and the colonists had no loyalty towards Great Britain even though Great Britain sent the colonists supplies, was the world's strongest political power and had the world's most powerful navy, and that the colonists were rightfully represented in Parliament.
