I was sitting there across from my dad when bam out of his mouth came the words "CHECK MATE," "I can't believe I lost for the third time in a row," I said as my dad laugh as hard as he could right in my face. After things calmed down a man can to our door and Knocked, but when my parents opened the door I realized that it was just Sergeant Morris back from India.

After my parents invited him inside and I took his coat he sat down and asked for a drink. After he got comfortable we asked him about his trip to India. He told us about all of his expeditions. Then he pulled from his pocket an object of some sort. After I got a better look at the object I realized that it was a paw from a monkeys hand. The Sergeant told us about this crazy st


ory about a fakir who put a spell on the paw to make any mans wish come true, but with the wish came a consequence. After he was finished with the story he looked at the paw and tossed it into the burning hot coals of our fire place, before another second went by my dad went to the fire place and yanked the paw straight from the coals, but the sergeant just told him to toss it back into the fire, but my dad kept it.

The next morning I woke up and eat a piece of toast and was out he door. When I got down the path I turned left and walked two more miles to my work place. When I got inside I punched my card and went to my station. After I sat down my boss came to me and said that a gear machine was stuck.
