The Way West

Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull and red Cloud were and are just as important to American history as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. They were all great Native heroes and meant a lot to their tribes they were all very important people in their time as well. It all started when the white man was trying to invade the native's land and change their way of living.

In the years 1865 and 1886 the United States launched a costly and brutal campaign against the Plans Indians, to rid them of their land an change their enchant way of living. What was weird about this war was all of the soldiers who fought in the Civil war, North and South were no on the same team, fighting against the Plain Indians. In the attack on the Little Big Horn General George Custer and his detachment consisting of 264 troops were killed and a significant amount of them were mutilated. The attack on Little Big Horn far a time marked the end of fighting on the Northern Great Plains. The United States Army persuade and harried the Sioux and the Cheyenne till Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse were sick and tired of fighting and seeing their people suffering so the Sioux and the Cheyenne and there people were put on reservations to life.
