Vietnam The Summary

According to most Americans in response to the Vietnam War, most people's idea was that America was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The program that was supposed to have being an assistant program to help aid the South Vietnamese turned drastically into a military effort by the U.S. with major areas of combat operations. American troops who went into Vietnam know what the consequence of their experience in Vietnam was like.

However, after the return of the troops now veterans, the American society have recognized their heroic efforts by so many ways. The veterans now have a public holiday for them, the names of fallen soldiers on a monument in Washington and a whole lot of other recognizable moves have been taken just to remember and ho


After the war, many of the veterans who were young and got the chance to come back faced a lot of psychological and emotional problems since most of them were either amputated or handicapped. The U.S. public after going through the pain of Vietnam felt that the American defense had been shaken down and needed another war where they'll win blatantly. The American government picked on Iraq and Grenada who had lesser manpower and arsenal for defense. The American Army started to strengthen and the public was happy and felt much more comfortable. Till date, most Americans don't understand what the American's duty in the Vietnam War was.
