Thomas Edison's life was filled with exciting things that most people will not evenexperience in theirs. He was one the greatest inventors and industrial leaders in history. He had many inventions during his inventing career but he was most famous for ones like electric lighting, the phonograph, and improvements to the telephone. He was also a good businessman. His life was extremely eventful for an inventor in the late 19th and early Thomas Edison was born February 11, 1847 and was the seventh and youngest child of this parents Samuel and Nancy Edison. When he was seven he moved to Port Huron, Mich. There he received limited education with the help of his mother who guided his learning. During this period he was mischievous and inquisitive. The education of this time students were expected to learn their lessons by memorizing them and this had little appeal for him since he was so inquisitive.
