All different times have many similarities, however they also have their differences. For example, Medieval Times and Ancient Egypt there was a king and the king had all the power. The values of different times are also very similar, however they also have differences. A value is anything that has worth to someone. The nineteen fifties and present day share many of the same values but they also have their differences.

The nineteen fifties so dubbed the television generation was a very wholesome time where as the nineties are filled with fear, hatred, and sex. In the fifties everything was so wholesome that the word pregnancy was not even allowed to be on TV, and now a days it basically shows the conception of every child. The nineties, which has been called generation X has changed all the values the fifties had to offer. Divorce was not appropriate in the fifties and today it is almost one-third of all couples get a divorce. People are not setting good family values. Too many people are getting married for the wrong reasons. In the fifties it was the "American Dream" to have children and a stay at home housewife, today it is not uncommon for the man to stay at home and the wife make the living for the family. Women have gained more equality over the last fifty years. A woman can even support children on her own. Many changes have happened in the values of the family since the fifties.
