People's lifestyles often reveal and contrast their person philosophies. My uncle Joe, who lives in the States, and my cousin Rob, who lives in Europe have very different attitudes towards medicine. When you talk to a person with definite beliefs in the superiority of one culture, it almost always turn out that this "superior" culture is his/her own. My uncle is not a very open minded person towards traditional medicine and never admits that other cultures can bring any benefits. My family always argue about all kinds of treatment, beliefs, and diseases when it comes down to medicine. My uncle, who is liberal and very modern, likes change but he has to be convinced that the change will only be for a positive outcome. He claims that with today's technology, drugs are tested out so they only help and not harm in any way.
