They are Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE), and High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE). These three sicknesses are all associated with high altitude and the lack of oxygen in places like Mt. Everest. Any one of these can be deadly if ignored or untreated.
