The first thing that you want to do is to get all your tools and parts together. The tools that you will need are a Phillips screw driver and a ¼" socket wrench. The basic parts that you must have are a motherboard (PC Board), a video card, a sound card, some RAM (Random Access Memory), a hard drive, a 3 1/2" floppy A drive, and a computer case. For these particular instructions you will need a "tower" case. You may also want to include a CD-ROM into your system. Must current day computers have them installed, but it is not necessary.

Now that you have all your parts and tools it's time to get started. Now the first thing that you will want to do is take the outer shell of the computer case off and set it to one side. The next thing you are going to want to do is take the mounting screws that came with the case, and screw them into the screw holes on the side panel. You will want to use the ¼" socket wrench to do this. After you have tightly crewed those in you will want to take the PC board and set it on top of the mounting screws.
