For example, there are barbells, curved barbells, circular barbells, hoops, banana hoops, and many others. Each piece of jewelry ranges in size from 12-18 gauge for a normal piercing. Most piercings are done with fourteen gauge jewelry but it depends on what size the person will be most comfortable with.
