The Sacrament of Marriage
A detailed Summary of The Sacrament of Marriage
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." - Proverbs 31:29. What is marriage? First of all there are many views of this sacred sacrament that Christians call Marriage. In the religion of Catholics, marriage is a sacred bonding of the mind, body and soul . It signifies the closeness of the couple and their spiritual development together as one. Unity is the reason for this rite; it will join the two people in a holy bond that can not be broken but only by the church. The church does not believe in divorce but it can annul a marriage. When the church executes this action, the church never saw the marriage as a valid one. Marriage view by a non-religious person is very different. They seem to think marriage is not sacred. Wedding chapels in Las Vegas for example are proof of the people that think this way. There is no love in their marriage but just lust. People divorce many times and marry again with no remorse of any kind. Divorce can be effortlessly done in court. In the eyes of the Church you are breaking this sacred sacrament. It is a great sin to commit this act and it is impossible for you to
do so if you are a true Christian. The sacrament of marriage also has a ceremony

involved. In tradition the couple is in a formal dressing. The man has a formal suit, usually wearing black and the woman, usually is in a white dress. It's commonly held in a church in front of witnesses and done by a priest. The vows to each other are exchanged and the couple is then married.Christianity had laws called cannon laws about the sacred ritual. This religion views it a most holy unity between people. Divorce is never considered in the church. Annulment is when the Church never saw the marriage as a valid and true one. Either the one person in the couple was forced into the marriage or one was not in the right state of mind. Referring to "the right state of mind" means the person was not himself/herself during the ceremony, they were under the influence of drugs, alcohol, etc. Also the church can annul your marriage if one of the couple were to cease to live. Then once your marriage is annulled you can marry for the first time. The new age view on divorce is that it is a natural part of life. People commit this sin everyday. Some do it more the once and twice. Drive threw chapels are now established in Las Vegas, the city of sin. This is degrading the sacred sacrament and it cheapens this holy ritual. No one feels guilty of divorce in this new age and time.Every marriage and every family is a true gift from God. Each one is special in it's own unique way of loving and caring for one another. It's what we do with our gift that will make the difference in your life today. Cherish each other in your marriage. Love each other as Christ also loved His Church! If you choose to love your spouse the same way Jesus loves him or her, your life will never be the same. You will experience true joy in marriage that will shower your family in God's precious love.In today's world this vision of the perfect family is distorted. Divorce has fashioned single parents homes. This incident of divorce is occurring more often then a few times. People get married and do not think about it carefully or they rush into the bond
