Edward Taylor is considered to be one of the best verse writers in colonial times. Born and raised in England, he went through many of the countries hectic changes. Records of Edward Taylor's birth have not been found; the Taylor families' church records are incomplete because the Civil War between the Puritans and Cavaliers has destroyed to teach.
