The American workforce has been composed of men and women for many decades now. Despite history shows that the American workforce used to be made up of only the male gender, the women gender had shown that they have the power and capability to perform what men can do. However, although the female gender was able to prove themselves, gender discrimination and inequality that were found in the early years of labor force still exists these days. Traditional "women's work" may be undervalued in part because people think of it as a natural extension of women's family and household responsibilities and therefore not appearing to require any special or additional skills. It is fortunate, however, that these days women are able to prove their worth in the workforce.
