In this day and age, life is full of challenges and trials. Especially with today's Millennial Generation - a generation overwhelmed with the latest, fastest and oftentimes the tiniest technology. Of course we have the founder of Intel Gordon Moore to thank for that when he said, "Every couple of years we can squeeze twice as many transistors onto the chips we're making," thus was born Moore's Law. I belong to this Millennial Generation and needless to say, the tribulations are at times overwhelming and even unfathomable. Although my parents often say that we got it all too good, I guess the generation gap will always have a certain degree of misunderstanding.

But besides the non-formal exercises to keep up with the pace of education, I also believe that going back to the formal and structured institutions of learning serves to validate one's knowledge, skills and experiences. I believe that merely getting a university degree is not enough if one wants to master the profession, trade or craft he or she aspires. By getting into post-graduate school, whether for a Master's or a Doctorate, the substance of this is that one will have the opportunity and the privilege of being mentored and trained by those that have mastered their professions, trades or crafts. It is also an honor to be among those that would give the gift of intellectual discourses much the same way as Plato or Socrates gathered their flocks
