Humanistic Workplace

Survival, motivation and satisfaction are the needs of healthy individuals that are being fulfilled in today's workplace.

Abraham Maslow set up a hierarchical theory of needs. The physical needs were placed at the bottom, and the human needs at the top. This hierarchic theory can be seen as a pyramid, with the base occupied by people who are not focused on values, but just staying alive. If our basic levels of needs, our physiological needs, are not met, we are not particularly interested in the needs higher up the hierarchy. These physiological needs are hunger, thirst, air and sleep. A person that is starving, thirsty, hot and tired will not be a happy or productive worker. In our workplace, we have set up cold-water fountains, snack machines, coffee stations and rest areas in a convenient area with easy access for our the employees.

Last on the hierarchy by Maslow, is self-actualization. Self-actualization is a person's need to be and do what he was born to do. It is his calling in life. A musician must make music, an artist must paint, and a poet must write. If these needs are not met the person feels restlessness, on edge, stressed, and lacking something. The lower hierarchy may also produce this but it is much easier to find the cause. It is not always clear what a person wants when there is a need for self-actualization. This is a self-discovery area. In our humanistic workplace we strive to promote personal growth. We offer higher education programs, motivation programs, self-awareness programs and eagerly accept suggestions from all our employee on what we can do for them. Our humanistic workplace creates a unique and creative environment for our employees. We offer security, motivation and satisfaction to promote a good product from a healthy human being!
