Black Segragation

Imagine being separated from all society because of the color of your skin. Would you think that this separation is fair? Definitely not. Down south in the old days, blacks were segregated this way. They were segregated in many ways. We could categorize those ways into four main categories, socially, economically, politically and religiously. If you need proof, continue reading my paper on Black segregation.

Blacks were segregated socially in many places. The most important place, in my opinion, was school. Blacks went to a "special" black school for the rejected blacks while white children got to go a school where they were sure to get an exceptional education and a good chance to go to college. Blacks had to cope with a bad education and a slight chance to even graduate from high school. Other places where blacks were segregated from whites were train station waiting rooms, movies, water fountains, restaurants and even seats on a bus or a train. On a bus or a train, they would usually get a seat in the back with no windows. The whites would get good seats. Also, even though whites and blacks had practically the same religion, they would have to go to separate churches. To me, this makes no sense at all. Why can't the

Politically, the blacks had almost no say or power. This is because no black people worked on a white political staff. This included all courts, a town court to the Supreme Court. I think that some black people were smart enough to work on the staff, only that the people that chose who would be on had a fit when hearing that one of those inferior colored people would be making their laws. They didn't want that. Black opinions, besides those of NAACP lawyers and staff, were ignored. The only way that the nation could fix these opinions was going to court. There were more laws that gave advantage to a white person than a black person. If in any way, a black person hurt a white person, they would be sent to a "black' prison. If a white person hit a black, the white person usually wouldn't have to go to prison, unless the black person made a very big deal out of it. This is because many of the people on the judicial staff and working for the police were against black people and thought that blacks were inferior. If a black person had a position in the judicial staff, I bet that blacks would have equal protection under the law. The 14th amendment ensures equal protection under the law to all American citizens. Also, black taxes should have been lower then they were because black people didn't have enough money and a high enough education to get a job like the white people and make as much money. If they refuse to, they should atlas give them a better chance to make a
