New world order and one world religion are issues that most Americans have probably never even given much thought to it. I believe these are two issues that will drastically shape our future to include the National Military Strategy. I know my views are that of the minority. My opinions are based on the Holy Scriptures of the King James 1611 Authorized Version and what they say about the future and this world we live in. You ask why am I bringing up all of this? Because my peers are the future of the United States and what I see is most assuredly making our forefathers turn in their grave. Also, much of what I am writing will have direct impact on what I believe the "Purple" military will look like in the future. The United States, as a whole, has become a generation of shallow thinking, liberal, TV watching, religious society. The desire for education has long left our culture. School is now viewed as a way to increase your salary vice a way to broaden your intellect. Why bother when you can get the cliff notes? Liberalism is another area that has taken a severe nose dive in our generation. "Don't ask, don't tell," or "that's his private life!" If you ask me, a persons actions and thoughts speak clearly of their char
acter. One way character is being shaped in people today is through Hollywood. Televisions and movies brought a sewer pipe of filth straight into our homes. Hollywood promotes the single working mother, adulterous affairs, and of course bloody violence. Pick up and newspaper and you can read actual stories that reflect what we see on a screen. TV's have become baby sitters for parents who don't have time for their children. It has also become the tried and true way for families to spend their quality time together. We should change the name of Hollywood to UnHolyWood!The title is more fitting. This brings me to the meat of my argument. Samuel Hunting stated that "... conflicts between groups in different civilizations will be more frequent, more sustained and more violent than conflicts between groups in the same civilization; violent conflicts between groups in different civilizations are the most likely and most dangerous source of escalation that could lead to global wars. Huntington suggests that it is in the best interest of the West to promote greater cooperation and unity within its own civilization to prevent escalation of local-civilization conflicts. He also points out, in loose terms, that the revival of religion is in large part of a response to an identity crisis.
