Moral Responsiblities of Employees

In today's society, employers expect employees to do what is asked without question. But are there certain restrictions employers have, or are there certain rights that the employees have? These questions are questions that can be taken many ways. Most people believe that there are restrictions that employers have, along with certain rights employees have. Also, there are certain times employees should go out of their way to help the employer if it is morally right.

Everybody should go out of his or her way to do something for someone else if it's morally right. An example of this can be found in an everyday grocery store. Lets' say that there is an employer whose wife was just in a horrible car accident and his wife is not expected to live through the night. Your employer asks you to stay for another hour until closing so he can go say goodbye to his wife. But you've alre

There are some things though that are asked by are superiors that are not morally right as in the case of Sir Thomas More. In other cases though their are some things that we should do because they're morally right like the example of the employer and his wife. Everyone should go out of their way to help someone else if it has minor consequences and is morally right.

In the book A Man For All Seasons one of the main characters, Sir Thomas More, was faced in a situation similar to the grocery store examples. Thomas Mores' boss, who happened to be the king, King Henry VIII asked him to grant him a divorce because his wife wasn't bearing children and he did not have an heir to the thrown.
