Censorship by definition is the suppression of published or broadcast material to the public. People have fought and died for the right to hear, read, and see anything and everything that is available. But our right goes beyond that, we have the full right to publish and broadcast material, even though it is controversial. This is not for pleasure, but for the right of knowledge for us and for the people who would like to learn. The more information we know, the more we know about how to do things right.

The Internet is extremely massive, filled with Usenet newsgroups, web pages, IRC channels, ftp sites, gopher sites and much more. The Internet is the last and largest frontier of uncensored speech, anything from friendly chat to violence and hate sites exist. Some estimate that over 30 million people are on the Internet and because of this it is flooded with things deemed controversial. The Internet has started to become censored ever since Bill Clinton signed a communications act made in 1996; the internet is becoming less accessible to all of us.
