Siberian Huskies are thought to be descendants of Chukchi sled which lived in the Siberian Arctic. For over 3,000 years these dogs have been utilized to pull sleds and heard reindeer in the arctic. Perhaps the most notable use of these dogs was to deliver the antidote that halted a diphtheria epidemic in Nome, Alaska.
