So The Tempature is Rising

The earth's climate is predicted to change because human activities are altering the chemical composition of the atmosphere through the building up of greenhouse gases or global warming. These gasses are caused primarily from carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide and sulfate aerosols. The exact effect of these gases on the earth's climate is uncertain, but indications are that global temperatures are rising and this global warming could have drastic effects on human health, forests and the availability of water.

The greenhouse effect is a condition by which the sun drives the earth's weather and climate, it heats the earth's surface; in turn, the earth radiates energy back into space. Pretty simple; however since the beginning of the industrial revolution large amounts of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide have been released into the earth's atmosphere which increases the heat-trapping capability of the earth's atmosphere. The heat-trapping property of th

Water resources are affected by changes in rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind, and sunshine. Water resources in drier climates tend to be more sensitive to climate changes because evaporation is likely to increase with warmer climate and could result in lower river flow and lower lake levels. If lake levels drop, groundwater also could be reduced. Conversely, increased rainfall can cause flooding and contamination of rivers, lakes and eventually groundwater.

The risk to human health would increase as well with the change in climate. The higher temperatures and increased frequency of heat waves may increase the number of heat-related deaths. This may have a great affect on the elderly, particularly those living alone, would be at the greatest risk. The increased use of air conditioners would cause power plants to work harder to supply the needed power for these air conditioners thus increasing the amount of pollutants the power plants emit. There is concern that climate changes could increase th
