Jai Alai is a game that is played on a 3-wallked court. Players use wicker rackets strapped to one of their arms to hit a small ball against one of the walls so that their opponent cannot hit it. The ball is often hit at speeds up to 150mph.
The length and width of the court varies, the typical court is 176 feet long and 55 feet wide (also a 20ft long strip of foul territory). The 3 walls are known as: frontis (front), rebote (back) and lateral (side). These 3 walls are each 44 feet high and typically made of cement. A clear screen runs the length of the court where the spectators view the game. The arenas where the game is played are known as "frontons".
