Preventing War
World War II was a result of many events that took place after The First World War. The Treaty of Versailles, Japanese Imperialism, The Munich agreement, and the growing Nazi threat were all events that led to World War II that could have been preve The first action that our allies could have taken to prevent World War II , was concerning the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles had two main issues on which it focused: Germany's post war territory and also the amount of reparations Ger ny must pay. " The economic strain put on Germany was probably the single most important factor in increasing hostility of the Germans towards Britain and France." (Jeremy Fazili) "Although not allowed to participate in the oral negotiations, Germany had made several counter proposals dealing with the territorial adjustments and the reparations. Germany was willing to give up Alsace-Lorraine, the province of Posen, and Northern hleswig. They also agreed to pay in full the reparations, but wanted to have their economy preserved by retaining their merchant fleet, and keeping their colonies."(Jeremy Fazili.) If the Allies had taken these proposals, history would have been completely different.
The United States did not take this type of actions on Japan for a few reasons. First, the United States, like Japan, was also in a depression and didn't have enough goods for our country, therefore we defiantly didn't have enough to do a lot of over The reason that all of this did not happen is because the Allies immediately censored the proposals of Germany, probably so they could not rouse sympathy for the German side. The proposals were not released until June 17th of 1919, only eleven days be as trading with. The reason the United States didn't threaten Japan is because the United States didn't want to be involved. The US was isolationists and didn't want to be in a war with anyone. The United States probably didn't lend them money because the US was in a depression and didn't have any money to lend them. If the US would have had extra money we probably would have lent them it.
